Our story
We started breeding in 2015. Originally we did not plan to operate as a professional Dog Breeder, we just wanted a wonderful pet for ourselves. However, we became hooked and soon we added a second and then a third one to our family. We have enjoyed it so much and love seeing the connections made when people see their new puppy for the first time!
After acquiring a lot of information about the breeding process, we decided to do our part in preserving it, which led to the birth of our Wackdwoods business. Since then, we’ve known so much love, joy and excitement! Contact us to find out more.

From Whelping to Weaning
Loved From Day One
From the day our puppies are born, they know love. We raise our puppies in a loving stimulating environment. Puppies receive ENS from day 3 to day 16. Once the puppies begin walking, they are started on litter training. New sights, textures, and sounds are incorporated into their daily lives such as normal household noises, new toys, and new challenges. Classical music is played for the puppies occasionally as it has been shown to cause less shaking and barking. Socialization with different age groups and different dogs within our household allow the puppies to be more prepared for the transition to their new homes. Our puppies are fed Nutrisource puppy food.

The Adoption Process
A New Member of the Family
At Wackdwoods Farm & Kennel, we are rigorous in screening and selecting the right home for each animal. Puppies are a big commitment. They require your time and a whole lot of patience. If you feel that one of our breeds would be a good addition to your family and you are ready for the commitment of caring for and loving a dog for many years to come, you are in the right place. Getting on one of our waiting lists is the first place to start. Those on our waiting list will be contacted once the puppies are born. At this time, we begin accepting $200 deposits to hold your puppy. Puppies are chosen at 4 weeks of age and puppy picks are in the order of deposits placed. The remaining balance is due the day you take your puppy home. Please note, there is a 7.25% state tax fee added. Each puppy leaves here with a 1 year health guarantee, vet record, small bag of starter or transition food, familiar scents blanket, toy, collar, and registration paperwork (for AKC registered puppies only). All of our puppies see our veterinarian for full health exams and vaccinations. They are also de-wormed with strongid and panacur. To reserve a puppy, please get in touch. Note, we will not separate our babies from their mothers until they are at least 8 weeks old.
